How We Judge

What makes a festive casino-hotel.

I

The buzz on the floor

How alive the gaming feels on a busy night — the tables, the crowd, the machines — and whether the room hums the way a celebration should.

II

The room for the crew

Whether the rooms and suites suit a group away for the weekend, and whether the resort is a whole night out on its own.

III

The stage & the spread

The concert hall, the restaurants, the bars and the pools — everything off the floor that turns a stay into an event.

IV

The reach & the reward

How easy it is to get the group there, how it welcomes a crowd, and whether the whole celebration is worth the trip.

Side by Side

The festive five, glass to glass.

The gaming floor, the rooms and our score for every celebration in the guide.

Good to Know

Festive casino-hotel questions.

Which is the most festive casino-hotel in Canada?

We give it to Casino Rama Resort in Ontario's cottage country — a buzzing floor, a big-name concert stage and a resort built for a group weekend. It tops our ranking.

Are these resorts adults-only?

The gaming floors are: every venue here runs a 21+ door policy with photo ID checked at entry. Families are welcome to stay, but the casino floor is for adults only.

Is the legal gambling age actually 21?

No. The 21+ we list is the door policy these venues run, not the law. Canada's legal minimum is set by each province at 18 or 19 — always check the venue's own current rule before you travel.

Do you take bookings or run a casino?

No. Jade & Jubilee is an independent editorial guide. We take no bookings, hold no money and run no games, and this is not an online casino — every score is purely our opinion.

How do you score each stay?

We weigh four things — the buzz on the floor, the room for the crew, the stage and spread, and the reach and reward — and score out of ten. Details change with the season, so confirm the current facts with the resort.

Keep the celebration a celebration.

However lively the night, a casino-hotel is entertainment first. We only ever suggest playing within your means — and every floor here is strictly adults-only, with ID at the door.
